One to one · 40 minutes
A workshop is the right thing when you want to get better at something generally. Coaching is the right thing when there is one specific situation sitting on your business or side hustle right now — a pricing conversation you have been putting off, a client or vendor negotiation, a hire you are unsure about, a decision about your business model that keeps circling.
I am trained for this part specifically: I am a certified whole person life coach and a certified Maxwell Leadership coach, on top of the doctorate in adult learning. That is what keeps a session from turning into advice you did not ask for.
This is the most targeted, personal investment on the site — forty minutes that is entirely about your business, not a curriculum written for a room of strangers. If you want more than one topic, that is an ongoing coaching relationship, not a bigger single session.
We do not spend the time on background. In the first five minutes you tell me the situation and what you want to be true at the end of it. Then we spend most of the session building the language you are going to use, and stress-testing it — I will play the other person, including on their worst day.
You will say those words out loud to me before the call ends, which is the part people skip when they prepare alone. Reading your plan silently and saying it to another person are different skills, and only one of them is the one you need.
And if it goes sideways anyway, tell me — I would rather hear what happened and adjust than have you decide the whole idea does not work.
What people bring
You do not need to arrive with it tidy. Bring it as it is and we will find the shape of it together.
01
With a customer, a manager, a colleague, or someone at home. We plan it out loud — what you open with, what you do when it goes sideways, and where you are willing to land. You leave with the words, not a theory.
02
How to talk about what you are good at without shrinking it or inflating it, what to do with the question you are afraid of, and how to answer the one about weaknesses like an adult. We rehearse it, out loud, in real time.
03
A raise, a title, a schedule, a promotion, a better territory. What to ask for, what to say when the first answer is no, and how to make the ask in a way that gets you a real answer instead of a maybe that never resolves.
04
First time supervising people, or being considered for it. What changes, what you stop doing, and how to handle the people who knew you before you were their boss.
05
An account that will not move, a team that will not gel, a customer situation that keeps repeating in the same way, a decision you have been circling for a month.
06
Whether the idea is worth starting, whether the problem is real, who your actual customer is, or what to charge. One decision, worked through with you instead of for you, so you can act on it this week.
07
Pricing a job, pitching a partner, asking a client for more, or negotiating with a vendor or landlord. Same negotiation skills a workshop teaches, worked on your specific situation before the conversation happens.
Being straight with you
If you want to get generally better at reading people, recommending, or being remembered, a workshop does more for you than a call does, and costs less. If you are looking for therapy or for help with a mental health concern, that is a different profession and you deserve someone trained in it. If you need someone to tell you that you are right, I will probably be a disappointment.
And if what you need is one hard thing handled well in the next two weeks, this is exactly what it is for.
One-to-one coaching
Video or phone, evenings and weekends included. You do not leave with encouragement. You leave with the actual words you are going to use, having said them out loud at least once, plus a written recap, one thing to practice before the situation arrives, and anything I have that fits — a script, a worksheet, a short read. Book as many as you find useful; there is no package to buy and no commitment past the session you are in.
Charged as GMW Group LLC. Checkout opens in a new tab, and afterwards you get a short form for the times that work — it is here if you lose it. Full refund up to 24 hours before. Terms.
A different kind of coaching
Not one session on one situation, but a running relationship that weaves together whichever of the seven workshop topics your business needs, in the order you need them.
A single session, above, is built for one specific thing sitting on you right now. This is different: it is for when there is more than one thing, and the pieces depend on each other — the customer work informs the business model, the business model informs the pricing conversation, the pricing conversation informs how you negotiate. Instead of booking those separately and stitching them together yourself, we build one plan and adjust it as the business moves.
Who it is for: Entrepreneurs, side hustlers, and small business owners who want oversight and mentorship across more than one topic, without hiring a full-time team to get it — the middle ground between a single workshop and hiring it out.
Scheduling. Video or phone. Evenings and weekends included, because most of the people who book these are working when I would otherwise be free. You send a few windows that work and I take the one that suits you.
No package. One session at a time. Book another if it was useful and do not if it was not. There is nothing to cancel.
If you have taken a workshop with me, your twenty free minutes still stands and you do not need this page. Use that first.
Refunds. Full refund up to 24 hours before, no explanation needed. If the price is what is standing in the way, say so — I would rather find a way to make it work than have you not do it.
Questions
What the forty minutes are, what other people bring to them, how this differs from the workshop, and what happens to anything you tell me. If your question is not here, ask me directly.
Forty minutes, one to one, on video or by phone, about one specific conversation you have coming up or one that keeps going wrong. It is $45. You bring the situation, I ask questions until we both understand what is really at stake in it, and then we plan and rehearse what you are going to say. You leave with words you have already said out loud once.
The most common four are a client or investor meeting, a pricing or vendor negotiation that has been put off, a difficult conversation with a client or partner, and a decision about your business model or next hire that keeps circling. Some people bring a conversation that already went badly and want to work out what to do next. That is a good use of the time too.
The workshop is a small group, live, on one topic, with other people practicing alongside you. Coaching is your one situation and nobody else's. If you want the skill in general, take the workshop. If you have something on the calendar for Tuesday, book coaching. Plenty of people do the workshop and then use their included twenty minutes with me on the specific conversation.
Yes, and that is the part that makes it work. Planning a conversation in your head trains you to recognize the right words, not to produce them under pressure. We say the opening until it sounds like you rather than like a script, and we run the version where the other person reacts badly, because that is the version people are afraid of.
I am Gina Wilt, EdD, MBA, a Maxwell Leadership certified coach, and I spent about twenty years in education and professional learning, most recently directing professional learning at Arizona State University. I have also worked the customer-facing side of this, which is why the sessions are about what to say rather than about theory.
Yes. Nothing from a session goes anywhere. I do not record sessions, I do not use what you bring as an example without asking you first, and I do not tell your employer anything, including whether you booked.
Tell me. I would rather find a way to make it happen than have you skip it, and I have made arrangements before. Email hello@nextready.studio and say what would work.
That is ongoing coaching, not a single session. We build one integrated plan across whichever workshop topics your business needs — customers, the business model, pricing, negotiation — and adjust it as the business moves, instead of booking single sessions that do not talk to each other. There is no fixed price to quote here because it is scoped to what you need; start with one line about your situation and I will tell you what that would look like.
Still not sure? Email hello@nextready.studio or call 480.371.9314. I answer my own email, usually the same day, and I will tell you straight if this is not the right fit.
